Want to experience God every moment of every day?
If we want to experience God, the way is simple.
1st Live the mysteries of the Church (confession & Communion). There is a reason we call them mysteries. These mysteries are what joins us to God Himself. God cannot be known rationally and intellectually.
2nd Stop judging. Stop identifying what is wrong with your neighbor even when you are right. We judge constantly. A lot of time, we are right by identifying something that is really wrong. We say they should not do that or they should not say that. Or we would say it is bad for them to act like this or that.
The problem is that we are not wrong. The problem is that it poisons the heart. That kind of truth will kill us. Christ makes that pretty clear. Stop judging and let the heart be free. The reason we don’t see things is not because they are not there, it is because our vision is blinded by judging and condemning.
If we just do these two things, we would see God in ways we have never imagined.
Matthew 7:1-2 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Yes, but we can condemn the sin without condemning the sinner. There are moral absolutes and we must as Christians speak out against moral outrages.
You must walk a fine line to do that. For example, we must say that killing is a sin but we quickly jump to the killer and condemn him without the best interest at heart. We are all killers in one way or another.
1 John 3:5
Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.

Admonish the sinner. And, self defense, be it personal, societal, or national is allowed. There are Bible verses that say rescue those unjustly condemned to death. Note the key word: unjustly. Morality can be practical and work for people who live in the real world. When the moralizer is too removed from reality by living in a normative, theoretical world, his/her judgements can be flawed and impractical.
There is always a balance in everything. For example, abusive relationship must not be tolerated and the truth must be told in love. But many times, we quickly jump into judging and that is what poisens the heart. As to being impractical, the Gospel is irrational. As a matter of fact, the entire Bible does not make any sense to the rational mind. If you want to experience God, irrational obedience is a must. Saint Gregory the Theologian says that the Trinity is a cross or a crucifixion for the mind. It is not going to make sense. One and three, virgin and mother, human and divine…How does this work? It is a crucifixion for the mind. Love your enemy, pray for those who persecute you, throw the net on the right side of the boat, Gideon being told by God to fight with 300 men, Moses facing the Red Sea, Jesus telling the people to listen to the high priest in Matthew 23 Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, 2 saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3 Therefore whatever they tell you to observe,[a] that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do. 4 For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers….when He knew how wicked they were He still told the people to obey……Shall I go on….
